 Hey, Guys Today we will discuss about Convergence of Technologies.


In this First well will discuss about what is convergence of technologies and also Type of convergence.


*Convergence Of Technologies.


In the language of Computing and Technologies, meaning of convergence is the integration of two or more different technologies in a single device or a system.

By the help of this we can do multiple works in a single device.

Some of the new technologies is the result of this convergence, they are:-


1. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

It is a combination of IT and CT.


2. Bio-Informatics.  It is a combination of IT and Bio-technology.


3. Intelligent Bio-Science It is a combination of Material Convergence and Bio-Technology.


4. Material Convergene It is the cimbination of Nano Technology and ICT.


Lets Learn about convergence with the help of some examples.


Some years back from now  If you want to listen music, If you want to calculate big numbers, If you want to communicate with peoples, If you want to go in dark palces and many more activities you need to carry multilple devices. But, The incorporation of all these technologies into a single device has led to the emergence of smartphones, which eliminates the need to carry multiple devices.


When I learn about this there is a question blinks in my mind, that is the Reasons Of Convergence.

After thinking about that I came on Two conclusion's. That is the rapid advancement in the field of internet alongwith the emergence of various products and Services in the Digital media space, and also with the help of convergence, devices do not only interact with media but are capable to handle a large number of other formats. 


Now, lets disuss about Some Type of Convergence.


Convergence of technology has transformed our life style and also transformed our traditional ways to communicate.

The biggest result of this technological convergence is that the whole world transformed into a global village, where cultures are merging and borders are diminishing with each passing day.


Some types of convergence are as follows:-


1. Digital Convergence.

Basically it is the collection of underlying Digital Technological components and Features such as voice, texts, videos, pictures, global connectivity, personalised services, etc.

2. Messaging Convergence.

It means interacting SMS with voice. e.g. Voice SMS and Spin Vox (Voice to text) In addition, today's wide variety of messaging options are available that are creating challenges for users and operators to manage it.

3. Media Convergence.

It involves the interlocking of computing and IT companies, telecommunication networks and content providers fot the publishing world of newspapers, magazines, music, radio, television, films and entertainment softwares.

4. Device Convergence.

It means the trend in network device architecture to support different networking paradigms in single system.
